Bharatpur murder case

Bharatpur, October 23 (Daily Kiran) — In a major breakthrough, Bharatpur Police have solved a brutal two-and-a-half-year-old murder mystery involving the beheading of a two-year-old child. The accused, 68-year-old tantrik Vijay Singh Jatav, has been arrested for the kidnapping and killing of the toddler, identified as Golu, reportedly as an act of revenge over a love affair.

Bharatpur murder case

Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Digant Anand, a special team conducted an extensive investigation that finally led to Vijay Singh’s arrest. The accused, a self-proclaimed occult practitioner from Nagla Kharbera village under Vair police station, had allegedly kidnapped Golu and killed him with a sharp-edged weapon.

Missing Child Case Turned Murder Investigation

On December 18, 2021, the victim’s uncle, Baney Singh, filed a missing complaint at Vair police station, stating that Golu, son of Balveer Jatav, had gone missing from their home around noon. Despite continuous efforts, no immediate clues surfaced.

However, on January 9, 2022, a child’s severed skull was found in a nearby forested area. The remains were sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for DNA testing, which confirmed that the skull belonged to the missing child, Golu. Subsequently, charges of murder and destruction of evidence were added to the case.

Narco and Brain Mapping Tests Revealed Truth

Given the seriousness of the crime, police identified multiple suspects for interrogation. After initial polygraph tests failed to yield results, investigators obtained permission for brain mapping and narco-analysis. These advanced tests helped the police zero in on Vijay Singh, who later confessed to the crime during questioning.

Revenge Over Love Affair Led to Heinous Killing

During interrogation, Vijay Singh revealed that Balveer Jatav, Golu’s father, had a love affair with a woman with whom Vijay Singh was also infatuated. About a week before the incident, the tantrik had allegedly pressured the woman to have physical relations with him. When she refused and threatened to expose him, Vijay Singh felt humiliated.

The woman later informed Balveer about the incident, leading to a heated argument between Balveer and Vijay Singh. Enraged and seeking revenge, the tantrik abducted Balveer’s son Golu on December 18, 2021, and beheaded him with a sharp weapon to “teach them a lesson.”

Police officials said the accused has been taken into custody and further interrogation is underway to gather more evidence.

Investigation Supervised by Senior Officers

The operation was supervised by Additional SP (Vair) Ramgopal and Circle Officer (Bhusawar) Dharmendra, with active involvement from SHO Vair Netram, officers from the Vair police station, CO Office Bhusawar, and the cyber team.
