Mumbai, July 20: Filmmaker Sandeep Singh is gearing up for his upcoming historical film, ‘The Pride of India: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.’ In this ambitious project, actor Rishabh Shetty will portray the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. To elevate the film’s appeal, the producers have enlisted an international stunt team to enhance the battle and action sequences.
Renowned stuntman Mark Hanson, known for his work on popular international projects like ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Vikings,’ ‘The Witcher,’ and ‘Gravity,’ has been brought on board. He will oversee the creation of large-scale war scenes for the film.
Joining Mark Hanson is Vlad Rimburg, who has worked on projects such as ‘The Fate of the Furious,’ ‘Bloodshot,’ and ‘Lucifer.’ Additionally, Craig Macrae, whose international experience includes major projects like ‘Troy: Fall of a City,’ will further strengthen the stunt team.
According to a statement from the producers, the film aims to showcase the bravery, leadership, and military prowess of the Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in a grand manner on the big screen. The film is being designed to reach audiences not only in India but also worldwide.
‘The Pride of India: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’ is being produced with a substantial budget of around ₹500 crores.
Alongside Rishabh Shetty, the film will also feature prominent roles for Arjun Rampal and Vivek Oberoi. Rishabh Shetty has previously gained recognition for his performances in films like ‘Bell Bottom,’ ‘Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana,’ and ‘Kantara,’ with ‘Kantara’ being one of his most successful films, earning him the National Film Award for Best Actor.
Filmmaker Sandeep Singh is also known for producing several notable films in Hindi cinema, including ‘Mary Kom,’ ‘Aligarh,’ ‘Sarbjit,’ ‘Bhoomi,’ ‘PM Narendra Modi,’ and ‘Jhund.’
