New Delhi, July 21: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has sharply criticized the recent attacks and statements from the United States. He remarked that Americans might consider our understanding as weak, akin to their own intelligence, but we have become adept at recognizing their maneuvers.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Ghalibaf stated, “The Americans are continuously introducing new military equipment into the region while claiming they want to prevent war. They perhaps underestimate our understanding.”
He emphasized that recognizing American tactics has become second nature to us, and we have prepared ourselves accordingly. Actions speak louder than words; our deeds should validate our claims, not contradict them.
Tensions have escalated in the Middle East following the breakdown of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the US and Iran, leading to renewed hostilities. Both sides continue to launch attacks.
In the ongoing conflict, Iran has targeted US military bases in Gulf countries, while the US has been consistently attacking Iran. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has reported a new wave of military strikes against Iran, aimed at weakening its military capabilities.
Meanwhile, the Iranian military claims to have conducted significant attacks on two major US military bases in Kuwait under Operation ‘Sakeh’ (Lightning). They assert that these actions are in retaliation for the repeated lethal strikes from the US.
On Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei mentioned that proposals have been sent by mediators, although he did not disclose any details. The Iranian Embassy in India shared this information on their social media platform ‘X’, confirming that proposals have been received but withholding specifics.
Additionally, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the war with the US will not cease until Iran gains a strong advantage in the conflict. In an interview with the state news agency IRNA, he asserted that negotiations should only occur when Iran feels the circumstances are favorable.
