Lucknow, 22 August (Kiran News). In the ninth match of the Uttar Pradesh T20 League 2025, Meerut Mavericks delivered a stellar performance by defeating Gorakhpur Lions by 6 wickets. This match was marked by a blistering century from Rinku Singh, who smashed an unbeaten 108 runs off just 48 balls.
Batting first, Gorakhpur Lions scored 167 runs in 20 overs. Captain Dhruv Jurel made 38 runs (32 balls), while Nishant Kushwaha added 37 runs from 24 balls. Akshdeep Nath also contributed 23 runs off 16 balls. However, the Lions could not build big partnerships and ended their innings at 167 for 9 wickets.
Meerut Mavericks bowlers put up an excellent display. Vishal Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar took 3 wickets each, while Zeeshan Ansari claimed 2 wickets.
