Mumbai, June 10: Preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2026, one of the world’s largest sporting events, are in full swing. Notably, acclaimed choreographer Rajit Dev has been selected to choreograph the official anthem titled “Seer Seer.” The anthem will feature actress and dancer Nora Fatehi and will be showcased during the opening ceremony to a global audience.
Expressing his excitement about this significant project, Rajit Dev stated, “I have been dancing for two decades. When I first entered the dance world, I was inspired by great artists from around the globe. Back then, I could only dream of performing on an international stage. Being entrusted with the choreography for the official anthem of an event as monumental as the FIFA World Cup feels like a dream come true.”
He added, “When the entire world sees the anthem choreographed by an Indian on the FIFA World Cup stage, it will be a moment of pride and emotion for me. This is a pivotal point in my life, where I feel my hard work and struggles have paid off.”
Rajit further mentioned that his team of dancers will also be featured in the performance. “This brings me immense joy because this achievement belongs not just to me but to the entire team. A platform like FIFA has opened doors to new opportunities in Western countries and beyond. My dream remains to showcase Indian dance in its unique style to every corner of the world, demonstrating that India’s rhythm, beats, and art are unparalleled.”
Additionally, Rajit Dev shared insights about his current projects, stating, “I am currently working on several major music videos. Furthermore, I am collaborating as an associate choreographer with renowned choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant on a significant Indian film.”
