Shooting Begins for Retro Song in Sharwanands Upcoming Film George Krishna

The team of George Krishna has started filming a high-energy retro song, set for release on January 14, 2027.

Hyderabad, October 24 (Daily Kiran) : The production team of the upcoming Telugu film ‘George Krishna,’ directed by Srinivas Vaitla, has announced that they are currently shooting a vibrant retro song featuring actor Sharwanand. The film, backed by AK Entertainments, promises a mix of retro vibes, catchy beats, and ample entertainment.

In a post on their X account, the production house shared, “High-energy retro mass song shooting is in progress for ‘George Krishna.’ Directed by the entertainment captain Srinivas Vaitla and starring the charming Sharwanand, the film is set to deliver full-on entertainment for audiences this Sankranti 2027.” The film is scheduled for release on January 14, 2027.

Recently, it was confirmed that Mansa Waranasi will play the lead female role in the film, with sources indicating that her character will be significant and impactful.

Excitement has been building among audiences since the film’s announcement, especially as it marks Sharwanand’s first collaboration with director Srinivas Vaitla following his recent successes in ‘Naari Naari Naduma Murari’ and ‘Biker.’

Produced by Rambrahmam Sunkara and presented by ATV, ‘George Krishna’ is being developed under the banner of AK Entertainments, with Ajay Sunkara as a co-producer. In August, the filmmakers released colorful and attractive posters announcing the title and release date, aligning with the Sankranti festival, a time that has historically been successful for Sharwanand’s films.

Notable past releases during this festive season include ‘Shatamanam Bhavati,’ ‘Express Raja,’ and ‘Naari Naari Naduma Murari.’ The film’s launch was celebrated with a traditional puja ceremony, where producer Suresh Babu switched on the camera for the muhurat shot, while MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav clapped for the first shot, directed by Srinivas Vaitla himself.

The film’s technical team is also regarded as strong, with K.V. Guhan handling cinematography and Anup Rubens composing the music. Avinash Kolla is the production designer, and Amar Reddy Kudumula will oversee editing. The story and screenplay are penned by Nandu Savirigena and Gopi Mohan, with Kishore Garikipati as the executive producer.

In a unique move, the global theatrical distribution list for the film was released on the same day as its launch. The film will be distributed in the Nizam region by Asian Suresh Entertainments, in Visakhapatnam by Vasudev Movie Creations, in the East by Vintage Creations, in the West by Aditya Films, in Krishna by Vyom Cinemas, in Guntur by RK Entertainments, and in Nellore by Abhi Cinemas. Overseas distribution will be managed by Vyom Cinemas and Cinema Paradiso.
