Relief from Scorching Heat as NCR Experiences Sudden Rainfall

Noida, May 29: The weather in the National Capital Region (NCR) took a dramatic turn on Thursday evening, bringing heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and dusty winds that provided much-needed relief to residents suffering from intense heat. The sweltering temperatures and heatwaves had significantly disrupted daily life, but the rain that began late in the evening led to a noticeable drop in temperature.

According to the meteorological department, the weather in NCR is expected to remain altered for the next three days, continuing to offer respite from the heat.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for NCR on Friday, May 29. Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is anticipated throughout the day. The department has warned of strong winds at various times from morning until evening, with speeds reaching 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. There is also a possibility of lightning and gusty winds. The maximum temperature is projected to be around 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is expected to be 24 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels ranging between 50 to 70 percent.

The IMD forecasts light rain and thunderstorms at different times throughout the morning, afternoon, and evening. A yellow alert has been issued for May 30, indicating that thunderstorms and strong winds will continue. The maximum temperature is expected to be 35 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 23 degrees Celsius.

On May 31, the weather department has predicted thunderstorms with rain, although no specific warnings have been issued for that day. The temperature is expected to reach a maximum of 36 degrees and a minimum of 23 degrees Celsius. By June 1, the sky is likely to be partially cloudy, with maximum temperatures around 36 degrees and minimums at 24 degrees Celsius.

No warnings have been issued for this day either. On June 2, the forecast suggests continued partial cloud cover, with temperatures slightly rising to a maximum of 37 degrees and a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius. However, by June 3, the weather is expected to clear up again, leading to a potential rise in heat. The maximum temperature could reach 40 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius, and no warnings are anticipated.

Meteorologists attribute this weather change to a western disturbance and moisture coming from the Arabian Sea. For the next two to three days, residents can expect relief from the extreme heat. Authorities have advised the public to exercise caution during inclement weather, avoid standing in open areas, and seek shelter during thunderstorms.
