Redmi Note 15 5G Launched in India with 108MP Camera and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3

Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 15 5G in India, marking the latest addition to its popular Note 15 series. The new model features significant upgrades including a 108MP main camera, the latest Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, and the HyperOS 2 operating system.

The Redmi Note 15 5G sports a slim design, measuring just 7.35mm in thickness and weighing approximately 178 grams. Xiaomi states that this is the thinnest Redmi Note device to date, despite housing a large battery. It also carries an IP66 rating for water and dust resistance.

In terms of display, the phone offers a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and features TUV Triple Eye Care certification, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and a peak brightness of 3200 nits. Additionally, Hydro Touch 2.0 technology enhances touch sensitivity even when the screen is wet.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 15 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset built on a 4nm process. The octa-core processor delivers a 10% boost in GPU performance and a 30% increase in CPU performance compared to its predecessor. The device comes with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage options.

Powering the phone is a robust 5,520mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging and 18W reverse charging. Xiaomi claims the battery can last up to 1.6 days on a single full charge and maintain good health for up to five years.

The phone runs on Android 15 with Xiaomi’s custom HyperOS 2 skin, which is expected to be upgraded to HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 in the near future. This update will introduce features like HyperIsland, enhanced user interface improvements, and deeper personalization capabilities including new pet widgets and lock screen customizations.

Additional features include dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, military-grade drop resistance (MIL-STD-810H), Xiaomi Interconnectivity, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 5, USB Type-C 2.0, an IR blaster, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Xiaomi promises four years of OS updates and six years of security patches for this model.

In the camera department, the Redmi Note 15 5G is equipped with a 108MP Samsung HN9 sensor that uses MasterPixel technology to enhance colour accuracy, low-light performance, and HDR capabilities. The main camera supports 4K video recording and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It also offers AI-powered editing tools such as AI Erase and AI Remove Reflection. An 8MP ultra-wide lens complements the main camera, while a 20MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.

The device will be available in India in three colours: Black, Mist Purple, and Glacier Blue. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 24,999, while the 8GB + 256GB version costs Rs 26,999. An introductory offer reduces these prices to Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999 respectively through bank credit card discounts and cashback deals. The first sale is scheduled for 9th January 2026.
