Recruitment of 2,500 Anganwadi Workers and Assistants Begins in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, July 2: The recruitment process for Anganwadi workers and assistants has commenced in Madhya Pradesh. Over 2,500 positions are available. The state government aims to promote women’s empowerment and strengthen grassroots nutrition management through large-scale hiring in various child development projects across the state.

A total of 2,548 positions will be filled with eligible female candidates from different districts. Local candidates will be given priority in this recruitment process. Of the total vacancies, 781 are designated for Anganwadi workers and 1,767 for Anganwadi assistants. Transparency and local representation are top priorities for the selection process.

According to the rules, applicants must reside in the same revenue village or urban ward where the position is vacant. Women from other villages or wards will not be eligible to participate. The recruitment process will be entirely digital and transparent, with applications accepted only through M.P. Online. The deadline for submitting applications is set for July 13, while corrections to submitted forms can be made until July 15.

The department has clarified that only online applications received through the portal will be considered. Offline applications sent to any office level will not be entertained. For both positions, candidates must have completed their higher secondary education (12th grade).

Academic records from other states or non-governmental boards will only be recognized if they are included in the equivalency list of the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education. Additionally, applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old as of January 1, 2026, and must attach their 10th-grade mark sheet for age verification.
