Realme Neo 8 Image Reveals Cyber Purple Design and Periscope Camera

Realme has confirmed the upcoming launch of the Realme Neo 8 later this month in China. Alongside this announcement, the company shared the first image of the phone’s new colour option, signalling a fresh design approach and an upgraded position for the Neo series this year.

The Realme Neo 8 features a transparent cyber-inspired rear panel in a new “Cyber Purple” shade. This see-through back showcases internal patterns that give the phone a futuristic and tech-oriented look.

The signature Awakening Halo lighting returns on the right side of the camera module, providing a visual effect during notifications and charging. A notable detail is the “120X” mark near the camera setup, indicating the inclusion of a periscope telephoto lens capable of high zoom levels.

Realme has also confirmed that the Neo 8 will move away from plastic construction. All variants will now have a metal frame combined with a glass back, enhancing durability and the overall feel in hand.

Leaked specifications suggest the Neo 8 will come with a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED display offering 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The screen is expected to support an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and carry full water resistance certification. Powering the device is likely the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, placing it firmly in the flagship performance category.

The phone is also tipped to include an 8,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. Camera details remain limited, but reports indicate a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor. If pricing follows current trends, the Realme Neo 8 could launch at around 2,500 Yuan (approximately $360), making it a competitive option in its segment.
