(Udaipur Kiran) — After weeks of speculation, Realme has officially confirmed its partnership with Japanese imaging brand Ricoh for its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Realme GT 8 Pro. According to the company, this collaboration has been four years in the making, which explains the teaser tagline — “4 years in one snap.”

The GT 8 Pro’s camera system will be powered by Ricoh GR, the brand’s iconic line of compact digital cameras known for their street photography heritage. Realme says the partnership aims to deliver an “unprecedented imaging experience” with groundbreaking advancements in optics, color science, and image processing.
Adding to the excitement, the phone will include a custom Ricoh GR-inspired camera interface, designed to emulate the look and feel of Ricoh’s street photography cameras. Realme is placing a strong emphasis on street photography, a genre long associated with Ricoh’s visual philosophy.
More details about the collaboration are set to be unveiled on October 14.
