Mumbai, September 15 (Daily Kiran) : Actress Rasika Duggal is currently in the spotlight due to her role in the much-anticipated action-crime thriller, “Mirzapur: The Movie.” She feels fortunate to have shared the screen with co-star Mohit Malik, whom she describes as a remarkable talent.
In a recent interview, Duggal praised Malik, stating, “Every character in this film has a unique story and a specific reason for being there. It’s a great thing to have a co-star like Mohit. Although we only have three or four scenes together, those moments are incredibly emotional and impactful.”
Duggal emphasized the importance of chemistry when working with a co-actor, especially with limited scenes. “When you have fewer scenes, conveying the relationship becomes crucial. You need to evoke emotion and reach that emotional level quickly. I consider myself very lucky to have a talented co-actor like Mohit,” she explained.
The actress also acknowledged the contributions of new cast members in the film. “I think having Jeetu in the film is fantastic. Since Babloo and Bina don’t interact much, I haven’t had the chance to work with Jeetu yet, but I hope to collaborate with him in the future.”
Addressing the issue of being typecast in a particular genre, Duggal shared her perspective. “I believe that while these things may impact my work, I have no control over them. Therefore, I try not to dwell on such matters and focus on doing my job as honestly as possible. Everything else will fall into place.”
Duggal described her character as complex and layered. “Bina Tripathi is a woman who is strategic yet vulnerable, desirable yet driven by desire. We often don’t write female characters with such depth. I appreciate how Bina is crafted with complexity and how she continually reclaims her agency throughout the story.”
