Ram Gopal Yadav Questions Election Commissions Authority Amid Political Turmoil

New Delhi, March 30: Senior leader and Member of Parliament Ram Gopal Yadav from the Samajwadi Party has expressed support for West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s statement regarding threats to her life.

In an interview with a news agency, Yadav stated that there is truth in Banerjee’s concerns, emphasizing that the current situation is alarming. He also raised questions about the Election Commission’s handling of the electoral process. Yadav criticized the extensive transfers of polling officials, station heads, and other election personnel, stating that such actions are not part of standard procedure. He believes these changes fall outside the Election Commission’s jurisdiction and cast doubt on the fairness of the elections.

Despite these challenges, Yadav asserted that defeating Mamata Banerjee will not be feasible. He expressed confidence that the people of West Bengal will re-elect her with a significant majority. He predicted a two-thirds majority victory for her party, stating that the electorate is aware of which party is genuinely working for their interests. Yadav pointed out the detrimental impact of the NDA government on the country, claiming their actions are merely aimed at misleading the public.

Additionally, Yadav made sharp comments on the current political climate in the country. He criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that democracy is weakening and the system is leaning towards autocracy, where those in power are not held accountable. He lamented the deteriorating state of the nation, asserting that the government is failing to act in the public’s interest.

On international politics, Yadav mentioned U.S. President Donald Trump, predicting that he will no longer be active in politics by 2026 and will be removed from office.
