Raju Das Demands Worship Rights at Gyanvapi Amid Clean Chit for Trust Officials

New Delhi, August 19: Mahant Raju Das of Hanumangarhi has requested permission for the water offering to Lord Shiva at the Gyanvapi complex on Nag Panchami. He stated that if individuals who consume beef can pray five times a day, then ascetics should at least have the right to worship for one day. He welcomed the clean chit given to former officials of the Ram Temple Trust, Champat Rai and Anil Mishra, regarding financial irregularities, calling it a slap in the face of those who have mocked faith.

Mahant Raju Das expressed his desire for the water offering at Gyanvapi, saying, “We went to seek blessings from Lord Bholenath on Nag Panchami. It is unfortunate that while prayers are being offered, someone consuming beef sits above and prays. This can only happen in India. We demand that the government of India and the Uttar Pradesh government allow us, the ascetics, to perform the water offering on Mondays, just as those who eat beef can pray five times a day.”

He questioned why there is a mockery of their faith. “Worship is happening there. Our demand is that the Shivling, which has been broken and kept in a wash area, should at least be offered water on Mondays.”

Regarding the clean chit given to Champat Rai and Anil Mishra, Mahant Raju Das remarked, “This is a slap on the face of those who shed crocodile tears and have played with faith in the name of the Ram Temple. They have left no stone unturned in bending faith. Even after the temple’s construction, they have made every effort to hurt the sentiments of the Sanatanis.”

He further stated, “You must have seen how there was a conspiracy to defame the Ram Temple regarding financial irregularities, involving bank employees and some trust staff. A clear example of this was seen in the Parliament complex, where a person disguised as a sadhu, who has multiple cases against him, has brought disgrace to the country.”

Mahant Raju Das concluded that this was merely a conspiracy to defame Sanatan. He mentioned that Champat Rai has worked tirelessly for the construction of the Ram Temple, and thus, the clean chit was justified.

Uttar Pradesh Minister OP Rajbhar noted, “Only Anil Mishra and Champat Rai have been given a clean chit, but FIRs have been filed against six others, who are currently in jail. They have admitted to this during questioning.”

Congress state president Ajay Rai commented on the clean chit given to Champat Rai and Anil Mishra, stating, “The government has completely shielded them, and they are all involved in the theft of the offerings.”
