New Delhi, October 5 (Daily Kiran) : Defense Minister Rajnath Singh recently urged the nation to perceive oceans as opportunities for growth. Speaking in Visakhapatnam, he highlighted that the sea is a pathway to development and should be seen as a carrier of prosperity and strength. He praised the Indian Navy for its adaptability to changing circumstances.
During his address, Singh noted the advancements in India’s naval capabilities, stating, “Today, we have indigenous aircraft carriers, nuclear submarines, and warships, along with Scorpene-class submarines. More importantly, we possess the spirit, passion, and patriotism that surpass any weapon.” He commended the valor of naval personnel, asserting that their efforts have positioned the Indian Navy among the world’s most powerful fleets.
Singh expressed pride in the Indian Navy’s reputation in the Indo-Pacific region, emphasizing its consistent commitment to duty whenever the nation or the world has needed assistance.
The Indian armed forces are continuously modernizing, regularly engaging in joint exercises with various countries. Currently, the “KAZIND-2026” military exercise, aimed at strengthening military cooperation between India and Kazakhstan, is underway in Oskemen, Kazakhstan.
In its ninth edition, this exercise focuses on enhancing combat skills, coordination, and collaborative operational capabilities. Running from September 28 to October 11, the exercise allows soldiers from both nations to share experiences and combat tactics.
During the training, soldiers practice working together under different conditions, fostering better coordination and mutual understanding. They also participate in joint physical training and sports activities, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and cooperation. Strategic planning exercises are included in the training regimen.
As they navigate diverse terrains, soldiers work on identifying directions and advancing in a coordinated manner. This training evaluates their ability to collaborate effectively, even in challenging environments. Additionally, Indian and Kazakh soldiers engage in weapon handling and tactical training.
The exercise includes practice with small arms, and Indian troops participated in a joint yoga session with Kazakh soldiers. This initiative is a significant aspect of the long-standing defense cooperation between India and Kazakhstan, providing both armies with opportunities to train together, share experiences, and enhance coordination for joint missions.
