Jaipur, 17 August (Kiran News). The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for 28 districts in Rajasthan today. According to weather experts, due to the shifting of the monsoon trough line, there is a chance of heavy rainfall in parts of Udaipur, Kota, and Jodhpur divisions over the next three days.

Rain Alert

On Saturday, good rainfall was recorded in southwestern Rajasthan, including Ajmer, Pali, and Jodhpur. Ajmer received over 3 inches of rain, with Kishangarh in Ajmer district registering the highest at 80 mm. Several areas in Pali and Jalore districts experienced intermittent rainfall. In Udaipur, the Madar Bada pond reached its full capacity, and water is now being released directly to Fatehsagar Lake through a canal.

Back-to-Back Weather Systems to Form in Bay of Bengal

Weather experts state that the current monsoon trough passes through Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Kota, and Guna. Over the coming days, back-to-back weather systems are expected to form in the Bay of Bengal, likely increasing rainfall across the state from next week. This system will especially impact southeastern and southwestern districts of Rajasthan, with heavy rainfall expected in some parts of the Udaipur division.

Temperature Crosses 40°C in Border Districts

Eastern winds have increased humidity across Rajasthan, with levels recorded between 75 and 90 in several cities. In border districts like Jaisalmer and Bikaner, the influence of western winds pushed temperatures above 40°C, making these districts the hottest on Saturday.
