Lucknow, February 18: Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has responded to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi‘s remarks made during the AI Summit. He stated that Gandhi is a victim of frustration due to his disconnect from power.

Gandhi, in a post on the social media platform X, criticized the AI Summit, claiming it was a chaotic PR stunt rather than a genuine effort to leverage India’s talent and data. He expressed concerns that Indian data is being sold off while Chinese products are being showcased.

During a media interaction in Lucknow, Deputy CM Maurya remarked that Gandhi’s frustration stems from being out of power. He noted that just as Gandhi struggles with India’s progress, Akhilesh Yadav is similarly challenged by Uttar Pradesh’s development. Maurya emphasized the excitement surrounding the AI Summit, asserting that if there is a global hub for AI, it is undoubtedly India.

He further stated that India’s military is strong enough to protect its borders. For India to establish its place in the world, it must excel in every sector. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the AI Summit represents a significant leap forward, promising long-term benefits. The event has led to a full house at the Bharat Mandapam.

Regarding the Maharashtra government’s decision to abolish the 5% reservation for Muslims, Deputy CM Maurya said he had not yet seen the decision. However, he welcomed the move, stating that the Constitution rejects reservations based on religion. He praised Dr. B.R. Ambedkar for prohibiting such practices and congratulated Devendra Fadnavis and his government if the decision has indeed been made.
