
Sirsa, June 20: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated on Friday that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the lotus will bloom in Punjab during the upcoming assembly elections.
He emphasized that the welfare schemes implemented by the ‘double-engine’ government in Haryana are being discussed in Punjab as well. Saini accused the current Punjab government of making grand promises to win votes but leaving the people to fend for themselves. He asserted that the people of Punjab desire development.
The Chief Minister spoke to the media after chairing a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Committee in Sirsa.
He noted that the benefits of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s welfare policies are reaching citizens across the state.
In response to a question, he remarked that whenever religion and truth face challenges, great personalities have sacrificed not only themselves but also their generations for the protection of the nation and faith.
He mentioned that Guru Arjan Dev’s martyrdom day was also observed in Panchkula, allowing future generations to draw inspiration from his life and sacrifice. Saini highlighted that Guru Arjan Dev dedicated his entire family to the service of the nation and religion.
Regarding the NEET re-examination, the Chief Minister assured that candidates would not face any inconvenience. He announced that free bus services have been arranged for them.
In response to another question, he criticized opposition parties for merely engaging in politics. He alleged that law and order were poor during the Congress regime.
He reiterated that there would be no compromise on maintaining law and order, and the government is fully committed to ensuring the safety of every citizen in Haryana.
The Chief Minister further stated that whenever the government calls an assembly session, opposition members attempt to stay away, even though they should participate in the proceedings.
He concluded by stating that the government is continuously allocating funds for the comprehensive development of Haryana. Budgets have been released to gram panchayats and urban bodies, and development work is progressing rapidly across the state.
