Chandigarh, 01 September (Kiran News): In view of the worsening flood situation in Punjab, the state government has declared holidays in all colleges and universities across the state till 3 September.

Punjab Education Minister Harjot Bains announced on Monday that with heavy rainfall continuing since Sunday night, all rivers in the state are overflowing and roads are getting damaged. Given these severe flood conditions, the Education Minister said that all colleges, universities, and polytechnic colleges in the state will remain closed till September 3.
He also assured students staying in hostels that there is no need to panic or rush home, as the responsibility for their safety and well-being lies with the respective hostel management.
