Chikkaballapur, September 30 (Daily Kiran) : A 15-year-old student at the government Morarji Desai Model Residential School in Chikkaballapur, Karnataka, has accused the school’s principal, Eshwar Reddy, of sexual assault. The incident reportedly took place on September 26 in the school’s medicine room.
According to the student’s account, she had gone to provide medication to a sick classmate when the principal called her into the room. She alleges that he behaved inappropriately and sexually assaulted her. The student also claimed that Reddy threatened her not to disclose the incident to anyone.
Following the incident, the student confided in her classmates, which eventually led to the information reaching teachers and her parents. On September 27, her parents visited the school to inquire about the allegations and subsequently reported the matter to the police.
The student’s statement was recorded on September 28 in the presence of child welfare officials in Chikkaballapur. The Dibburahalli police in Shidlaghatta taluk have since registered a case and initiated an investigation into the alleged sexual assault.
In her complaint, the victim expressed, “I am a ninth-grade student at Morarji Desai Model Residential School. The principal has behaved inappropriately with me on September 26 and again this week. He kissed me, touched my waist, and assaulted me. He also covered my mouth.”
She further stated, “These memories are etched in my mind. No one should have to endure the experience I went through. No one deserves the injustice I faced. Please help me get justice.” Further updates on this case are awaited.
