Preparations Intensify for Hanuman Jayanti as Major Temple Closes Doors

Farrukhabad, March 29: Preparations for Hanuman Jayanti are in full swing at the prominent Hanuman Temple located in Fatehgarh, Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh. The temple complex is undergoing special decorations and painting. As part of these preparations, the temple’s sanctum will be closed starting Sunday, reopening for devotees on April 2, the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.

On Saturday, the temple administration announced this update. They are also preparing for the special adornment of the idol of Lord Hanuman. Skilled artisans from Rajasthan have been summoned to carry out the traditional painting and dressing of the idol.

Mahatma Mohandas Maharaj, the temple’s chief, shared with a news agency that the idol’s adornment and painting will continue for four days, culminating in special prayers on the day of the festival.

He mentioned that thousands of devotees are expected to arrive on April 2. The doors will open in the morning, and a collective recitation of Hanuman Chalisa will take place. Following this, a community feast will be organized, with learned priests conducting rituals. This religious event attracts not only residents of Farrukhabad but also saints and devotees from neighboring districts.

The temple management is also making grand arrangements for the distribution of prasad. Preparations for prasad will begin two days before Hanuman Jayanti, with around 5 quintals of boondi being prepared. After offering it to the deity, it will be distributed among the devotees. There is a palpable atmosphere of excitement and devotion among the worshippers regarding this upcoming event.
