New Delhi, April 4: In a significant operation, the Special Task Force (STF) apprehended a notorious criminal in Badarpur late Friday night. The accused, identified as Mohammad Salim, also known as Ganja, was wanted in over 20 serious cases.
According to police reports, Salim Ganja is not a petty criminal but a highly dangerous individual. He has around 70 registered cases against him, including murder, attempted murder, theft, and burglary. He had been evading capture for a considerable time.
Salim Ganja’s name has also emerged in connection with the murder of infamous gangster Salim Pehlwan. Additionally, he was an active member of the Nasir and Danish Pehlwan gang, involved in numerous serious crimes in the area.
The police received specific information regarding Salim Ganja’s location, prompting the STF to set up an operation in Badarpur. When the police attempted to surround him, the accused opened fire in an effort to escape.
In self-defense, the police returned fire, resulting in Salim Ganja sustaining injuries. He was subsequently subdued and taken to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities stated that Salim Ganja had been active in the area for a long time and had numerous serious charges against him. His frequent changes in location made it challenging for law enforcement to apprehend him. However, this time, reliable information and a well-executed plan led to his successful capture.
