
Banihal, June 26: Preparations for the Shri Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir are in their final stages. The pilgrimage, set to commence on July 3, is seeing essential supplies for community kitchens (Langar) being delivered to Banihal.
Devotees and service organizations from across the country are setting up community kitchens to provide free meals and refreshments to pilgrims during the journey.
A service organization from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, has also arrived in Banihal to set up a Langar. A representative from the organization expressed their excitement, stating, “This is our 11th year of providing Langar, and we are thrilled to resume our efforts for the 2026 Amarnath Yatra.”
He noted that the people of Moradabad generously contribute to the Langar and actively participate in serving the pilgrims.
A resident from Uttam Nagar, Delhi, shared, “We have come here to serve the Amarnath pilgrims. We arrange for medicines, food, and accommodation during the journey. We are fully committed to serving the devotees.”
He added that the arrival of Lord Shiva’s devotees fills them with enthusiasm. With the journey starting on July 3, they are busy preparing the Langar.
Another individual from Uttam Nagar, Surendra Kumar, mentioned, “All our volunteers have been engaged in Langar preparations since June 21. We are working at full speed. We have made arrangements to serve the devotees of Baba Bholenath. For the past 28 years, we have come here to serve the pilgrims. We pray to Lord Shiva to continue giving us the opportunity to serve the devotees.”
