Patna, August 5: Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawagi, state minister Ramkripal Yadav, and JDU national spokesperson responded to various political issues, including the Bankipur by-election and statements made by Prashant Kishor. Ramkripal Yadav accused Kishor of lying after his election victory.
Regarding Kishor’s claim to transform Bankipur into Bengaluru, Yadav stated, “Prashant Kishor is a good person. He has been elected and is considered an intellectual. He has received support in intellectual circles. However, he should refrain from making misleading statements. I have seen his statements and can assert with full responsibility that he made those claims. The entire nation has witnessed them. If necessary, I can provide video evidence. He said, ‘I will turn Bankipur into Bengaluru,’ but now he seems to be changing his stance. He is attempting to deceive the public. He must answer for the promises he made to the voters.”
In response to the opposition’s uproar in Parliament regarding the theft of offerings at the Ram Temple, Yadav remarked, “The opposition is merely trying to create an agenda because they lack real issues. They continue to make accusations of theft and other claims. The disrespect shown to saints and the hurt caused to their sentiments is extremely unfortunate. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is treating this issue lightly. He is not taking it seriously but is turning it into a spectacle. Their MPs are visiting the site and engaging in political drama.”
On Kishor’s comments regarding Manoj Tiwari, Yadav said, “Is meeting the family of Bharat Tiwari a crime? Manoj Tiwari is an MP and a son of Bihar. It is his responsibility to ensure justice for Bharat Tiwari’s family, and the government is committed to delivering justice. Action has already begun at all levels. Why is Prashant Kishor disturbed by this? The kind of abusive language he is using is not suitable for his public image. He should not be expected to intimidate, assault, or use foul language against anyone.”
Commenting on the protests by Gen-Z in Jharkhand over paper leaks, JDU National General Secretary Shyam Rajak stated, “This is a very sensitive issue, and the youth are extremely upset, not just in one state but across the country. The Prime Minister has formed a six-member committee of experienced experts to address this issue. The committee will submit its report on how to resolve the matter. However, the anger of the youth has not yet subsided. This unrest has now reached Jharkhand as well. The Jharkhand government should engage with the youth to find a solution.”
Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawagi responded to Prashant Kishor’s attack on BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, saying, “Prashant Kishor’s language reflects arrogance. He has received a significant amount of votes from the RJD as well.” On Kishor questioning the role and leadership of Samrat Chaudhary in Bihar politics, he added, “There was a by-election in Bankipur. The BJP and NDA hold a two-thirds majority in the Bihar government. We will conduct a thorough review of the BJP’s loss in the by-election.”
