Ayodhya Saints Condemn Disruption in Uttar Pradesh Assembly by Opposition Parties

Ayodhya, August 4: Saints and religious leaders from Ayodhya have expressed strong disapproval regarding the disruptions caused by the Samajwadi Party and Congress during the proceedings of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. They argue that instead of addressing public issues, the opposition is consistently obstructing discussions, which undermines democratic traditions.

Mahant Sitaram Das of Saket Bhawan stated, “The manner in which members of the Samajwadi Party and Congress have disrupted the assembly proceedings is condemnable. The ruling party has continuously urged them to engage in dialogue and adhere to constitutional norms, but the opposition has ignored these requests. Members of the Samajwadi Party and Congress are behaving unconstitutionally. They neither believe in the Constitution nor understand the dignity and sanctity of the institutions established under it. Such a toxic mindset leads to constant disruptions instead of raising public concerns and issues, eroding the trust of the common people in democratic institutions.”

Mahamandaleshwar Vishnu Das Maharaj remarked that those unable to manage their own families cannot be expected to run the assembly effectively. He referred to the ongoing feud between the uncle and nephew within the Samajwadi Party, suggesting that this internal conflict is contributing to the chaos in the assembly. He added, “Opposition members create drama inside the house and make nonsensical statements. Issues like the Ram Temple, donations, and theft are repeatedly raised, wasting the assembly’s time.”

The Mahamandaleshwar proposed that given the opposition’s antics, they should be barred from entering the assembly to ensure smooth proceedings and discussions on public-related issues.

Religious leader Karpatri Maharaj stated, “If the Samajwadi Party, Congress, and other opposition legislators are obstructing the country’s progress, how can they be expected to run the assembly? Those who hinder the nation’s advancement cannot expect discipline within the state assembly.”

Karpatri Maharaj called for legislation to prevent such disruptions, suggesting that the costs incurred in running the assembly, which amount to millions, should be recovered from those responsible for causing adjournments or disruptions.
