Praful Hinge Shines in IPL 2026 with Impressive Four-Wicket Haul

Hyderabad, April 14: In an exciting match on Monday, the 21st game of IPL 2026 took place between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). SRH secured a significant victory, defeating RR by 57 runs, marking their second win of the season and moving them up to fourth place in the standings. The standout performer for SRH was debutant Praful Hinge.

The right-arm fast bowler made an immediate impact by dismissing the promising young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi on the very first ball of the innings. Hinge continued his stellar performance by taking the wickets of Dhruv Jurel, Luhan de Preteorius, and captain Riyan Parag. His remarkable spell of 4 overs yielded 4 wickets for just 34 runs, shaking the RR top order and leaving them far from the target of 217 runs. Hinge was awarded Player of the Match for his outstanding bowling.

After the match, he stated, “I wrote somewhere last year that whenever I play my first match, I will take four or five wickets. I wanted to dominate as much as possible during the powerplay. I believe in my energy and ability. I started playing cricket at the age of 13. Back then, I didn’t even know what leather-ball cricket was when I told my dad I wanted to join a club. He often refused, citing my young age.”

Praful Hinge expressed his gratitude, saying, “Somehow, my cricket journey began, and I just kept playing. It feels great to stand here. I want to dedicate the Player of the Match award to my family. They have made many sacrifices for me.”

Regarding Suryavanshi’s wicket, he remarked, “That was the best wicket because he is in form. I had told a few people beforehand that I would get him out on the first ball, either with a bouncer or in some other way. I just needed his wicket on the very first ball. That was the plan.”

He also acknowledged the support of fast bowling coach Varun Aaron, stating, “Varun bhai has helped me a lot. I am grateful to everyone who has supported me. I have fully recovered from my injury.”
