Ballia, July 21: Political rhetoric has intensified regarding the theft of donations meant for the Ram Temple. In response to letters from Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge demanding action on the matter, Uttar Pradesh‘s Transport Minister Daya Shankar Singh stated that an investigation is underway. He assured that strict action would be taken against anyone found guilty.
Speaking from Ballia, Singh emphasized, “Action is already in progress, and some individuals have been imprisoned. Further strict measures will follow the investigation report. The government is taking this matter seriously and will not tolerate any irregularities.”
Addressing the questions raised by Gandhi and Kharge, Singh criticized the Congress party. He remarked, “Congress leaders should first clarify if they truly believe in Lord Ram. In the past, Congress adopted a stance on the Ram Setu issue that hurt the religious sentiments of millions.”
He added, “The Ram Setu is a significant symbol linked to Indian culture and religious tradition, mentioned in various texts, including the Ramayana. Attempts were made to remove it during the Congress government. Those who previously questioned Lord Ram’s existence are now demanding accountability regarding the Ram Temple.”
Singh also questioned, “Have Congress leaders visited the Ram Temple or contributed to its construction? While everyone has the right to demand an investigation, they should reflect on their past statements and positions before making political accusations. The investigation into the Ram Temple donation case is being conducted by a Special Investigation Team (SIT). It will be impartial, and legal action will be taken against anyone found guilty.”
Additionally, Singh welcomed the Vande Mataram Bill, stating, “The Vande Mataram Bill is a matter of pride for the nation. It serves as an important means of honoring freedom fighters and national heroes. Such initiatives related to patriotism and national sentiment should be welcomed by all.”
