Dhanbad, February 17: Authorities have executed a property seizure at the residence of infamous gangster Prince Khan in Dhanbad’s Wasseypur area. Khan, who operates a criminal gang from abroad, is considered one of the most wanted criminals in the state. His home is located on Kamal Makhdoom Road.
Following a court order, a large police team arrived at his residence on Tuesday. The operation was led by Naushad Alam, in charge of law and order in Dhanbad, along with Praveen Kumar, the officer in charge of Bank More police station, and Abhinav Kumar from Bhuli OP. During the search, police removed a shed from the roof of the house as part of the seizure process.
Police sources indicate that a portion of the property seizure process had previously been incomplete. To ensure order during the operation, additional forces were deployed, allowing local residents to move around without incident. The situation remained peaceful throughout the action.
Prince Khan has been living in Dubai for the past four and a half years. At the request of Jharkhand police, Interpol has issued a Red Corner Notice against him. He faces multiple charges, including murder, extortion, and organized crime on an international level.
Authorities claim that Khan continues to run his criminal network from abroad, periodically releasing videos on social media taking responsibility for various crimes. The state police are making legal and diplomatic efforts to apprehend him.
In recent months, Khan has reportedly contacted business owners in several cities, including Palamu, Chatra, Jamshedpur, and Dhanbad, demanding extortion payments. Over the past six months, police have arrested more than 30 of his gang members, yet the gang’s activities persist.
