Police Raid Uncovers Sex Racket in Ranchis Harmu Area

Ranchi, June 16: Authorities in Ranchi have conducted a police raid in the Harmu area following reports of a sex racket operating in the vicinity. Six young men and two women were taken into custody during the operation. Police are currently interrogating the suspects and working to identify the network and its operators.

According to police sources, there had been ongoing complaints about suspicious activities behind the Shivam Palace complex, located near the electricity office in Harmu. Acting on this information, a police team executed the raid.

During the operation, six men and two women were found at the scene and were detained for questioning. Initial investigations suggest that the detained women are from West Bengal, while the men are residents of Ranchi and its surrounding areas. Authorities are also probing how the women were brought to this location and who is behind the entire network.

During the investigation, police discovered that the building in question was allegedly rented by an individual who is now under scrutiny. Mobile phones, documents, and other materials were seized from the site for further investigation. Efforts are underway to reach other potential suspects based on electronic evidence.

Police officials have stated that all aspects of the case are being thoroughly investigated. It will only be after the completion of interrogations and technical analysis that the nature of activities conducted at the location and the involvement of various individuals can be clarified. Notably, police have previously conducted several operations in Ranchi targeting suspicious sex trade and immoral activities. Similar raids were carried out in the Lalpur area based on complaints in recent months.
