Police Clash with Prince Khan Gang in Dhanbad, Three Criminals Arrested

Dhanbad, March 16: A police encounter occurred early Monday morning in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, involving members of the Prince Khan gang. Following the clash, three gang members were apprehended and hospitalized due to injuries sustained during the incident.

The encounter took place in the Bhagabandh area of the Putki police station jurisdiction. Both Ranchi and Dhanbad police forces collaborated in the operation, which resulted in two criminals being shot in the leg, while another sustained a leg injury while attempting to flee. The arrested individuals have been identified as Kuber, Vicky Dom, and Aman Afzal, all of whom were promptly admitted to a hospital for treatment.

This operation was initiated after reports of extortion calls made from virtual numbers in the name of Prince Khan, as well as a shooting incident at a restaurant in Ranchi. Technical investigations revealed that Kuber was hiding in Dhanbad while threatening local businessmen from Ranchi.

Upon confirming the information, a special team from the Ranchi and Dhanbad police surrounded the Bhagabandh area. Realizing they were cornered, the criminals opened fire on the police team, prompting the officers to respond in self-defense. During the encounter, Kuber and Vicky Dom were injured by gunfire, while Aman Afzal broke his leg in the escape attempt.

Police sources claim that these arrests have also uncovered details related to a recent murder case involving hotel staff in the Ranchi airport area. Following the encounter, the entire Bhagabandh locality has been transformed into a police zone, with the Dhanbad SSP present at the scene. During interrogations, police have gathered significant leads regarding the gang’s future plans and their associates. A search operation is currently underway in the area to apprehend any other hidden members of the gang.

Authorities are now meticulously investigating the mobile phones and documents recovered from the criminals to trace Prince Khan’s international connections and local network.
