
Lucknow, June 16: In a significant development in the high-profile murder case of Vinay Rai, the son of a hotel owner in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh police have arrested two additional suspects. This follows the announcement of a reward of ₹1 lakh for information leading to the arrest of four named accused, one of whom, Kamlesh Bind, was killed in a police encounter earlier.
The main suspect, Shankar Pandey, remains at large. The police have also registered cases against several unidentified individuals in connection with the incident. On Tuesday, the Ghazipur Kotwali police took decisive action, apprehending two more suspects, Shivam Dubey and Rahman Ali, also known as Golden, near the Overbridge at Chowkiya Mor in Ghazipur.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Rakesh Mishra, Kamlesh Bind, who had a bounty on his head, was killed in a police encounter. The two arrested individuals were present at the crime scene and have been implicated in the murder. Evidence collected during the investigation led to their arrests. Meanwhile, the search for other suspects continues.
