Balrampur, May 9: The Prime Minister’s Security Insurance Scheme (PMSBY) and the Prime Minister’s Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) celebrated their 11th anniversary on Saturday. Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 9, 2015, these initiatives aim to provide a safety net for the poor, laborers, farmers, and middle-class families at a minimal premium.
Over the past decade, these schemes have offered financial support to millions of families in challenging situations, serving as a beacon of hope during crises.
Shailesh Gupta, a resident of Ramanujganj in Balrampur district, spoke to the news agency INS, highlighting the significant support these schemes provide to the underprivileged and middle class.
