Chandigarh, July 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Chandigarh on July 17. During this visit, he will address a large public gathering at the Punjab Engineering College (PEC) grounds. Chandigarh’s Deputy Commissioner (DC) Nishant Yadav shared details about the event preparations, stating that the administration has completed all necessary arrangements for the occasion.

DC Nishant Yadav mentioned in an interview that a significant number of people are expected to attend the Prime Minister’s program. Attendees will include prominent citizens of the city, representatives from various market associations, members of Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), industrial organization representatives, lawyers, and other distinguished guests. The administration aims to ensure that attendees face no inconvenience during the event.

He further explained that extensive parking facilities have been arranged at the venue. For those using public transport, special buses will be provided. Additionally, arrangements for drinking water, toilets, smooth movement, and crowd management have been made. Considering the possibility of rain and humidity, the hangar at the venue has been fully waterproofed. Air conditioning will also be available to ensure attendees remain comfortable despite the weather.

DC Nishant Yadav announced that during this visit, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 10 development projects. Among these, four projects are related to the Chandigarh administration, three pertain to national highways, and three are associated with PGIMER. Out of the 10 projects, seven will be inaugurated, while the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for three. The administration believes these projects will enhance infrastructure, health services, and transportation facilities in Chandigarh and its surrounding areas.
