PM Modi to Inaugurate Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Rajkot on January 11

Gandhinagar, 5 January: Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi stated at a press conference held at Rajkot District Collector’s office that under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, a coordination meeting was organised with industrialists from Saurashtra and Kutch. The meeting addressed various challenges and issues faced by small and large-scale industries, aiming for immediate solutions to encourage further investment and industrial growth.

Sanghvi highlighted that Rajkot is the growth engine of Gujarat’s manufacturing sector. To attract more investments from across the country and the world, the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) is scheduled to be organised in Rajkot. He added that the first such conference was successfully conducted in Mehsana.

He announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference at Marwadi University, Rajkot, on 11 January. Sanghvi expressed optimism that the conference will boost large-scale investments in Saurashtra and Kutch during and after the event.

He further mentioned that Rajkot is progressing rapidly in manufacturing and other sectors. The meeting aimed to accelerate development and facilitate easier operations for traders, industrialists, and manufacturers.

During the event, incentive assistance amounting to ₹956.51 crore was distributed to 10,435 industrialists under various industrial policies of the Gujarat government. Approval letters worth ₹661.73 crore were handed to 137 industrialists from Saurashtra and Kutch under schemes related to textiles, incentives to industries, environment, industrial infrastructure, and small industries.

Sanghvi emphasised that Gujarat is the fastest state in the country to provide incentives, with the industries department working tirelessly to expedite the process.

He acknowledged Gujarat’s success under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership in attracting significant investments and expressed hope that under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s leadership and with public cooperation, the state will continue to advance on the path of development by attracting more investments.

Meanwhile, In-charge Minister Jitubhai Vaghani remarked that industrialists and traders play a crucial role in the state’s economy through manufacturing and business activities. He welcomed the initiative by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi to hold meetings with industrialists to resolve their issues on the spot and provide immediate policy-level solutions at the state level.
