
New Delhi, March 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day visit to Assam and West Bengal from March 13 to 14. During this trip, he will inaugurate several significant projects and lay the foundation for new initiatives. The Prime Minister shared this information on social media.
On the platform X, PM Modi stated that he will participate in events in Kokrajhar, Guwahati, Silchar, and Kolkata. These events will provide an excellent opportunity to engage with the people of these states and inaugurate various development projects.
In another post, he expressed his excitement about visiting Kokrajhar, a place rich in Bodo culture. He will lay the foundation for crucial road connectivity projects, including Assam Mala 3.0, which aims to significantly improve inter-state connectivity. Additionally, he will flag off three new train services: Kamakhya-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express, Guwahati-New Jalpaiguri Express, and Narangi-Agartala Express.
During his visit on March 13-14, PM Modi will inaugurate development projects worth over ₹47,800 crore in Kokrajhar, Guwahati, and Silchar. He will dedicate these projects to the nation, lay foundation stones, perform ground-breaking ceremonies, and flag off new initiatives.
On March 13, around 1:30 PM, he will perform a ground-breaking ceremony in Kokrajhar, launching projects worth over ₹4,570 crore. Later that day, around 5 PM in Guwahati, he will dedicate several development projects worth approximately ₹19,680 crore to the nation.
On March 14, at around 10:45 AM, PM Modi will perform a ground-breaking ceremony in Silchar, dedicating various projects worth about ₹23,550 crore to the nation.
Additionally, on March 14, he will visit West Bengal. At around 2 PM, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation for several development projects worth approximately ₹18,680 crore in Kolkata.
As part of a significant step to enhance road infrastructure in the region, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation for multiple national highway projects, totaling over 420 kilometers in length and costing around ₹16,990 crore. These projects include segments of NH-19 in West Bengal and Jharkhand, as well as NH-114 in West Bengal. They are expected to improve road safety, reduce travel time, decrease congestion and pollution, enhance regional connectivity, promote tourism, and accelerate economic development in the area.
