LPG Supply Issues Affecting Schools in Noida: Parents Urged to Send Lunch from Home

Noida, March 13: The potential shortage of LPG gas in Noida is beginning to impact local schools. The Shri Ram School, located in the sector, has officially informed parents via email that due to the lack of gas availability, the school may be unable to provide lunch and snacks for students in the coming days.

The email from the school indicated that the vendor responsible for preparing meals and snacks has only two days’ worth of LPG stock remaining. If gas supply does not improve, the school management will not be able to provide lunch and snacks starting March 16.

In light of this situation, the school administration has appealed for parents’ cooperation. The email suggested that if gas arrangements cannot be made, parents may need to send tiffins from home for their children temporarily.

The email also mentioned that the ongoing geopolitical situation related to the Iran-Iraq war and its impact on the global supply chain are affecting LPG availability, causing delays in gas cylinder deliveries to the school’s food vendor.

Following the email’s circulation on social media, discussions among parents have intensified. Many parents expressed concern that if the gas shortage is affecting schools, it is indeed a worrying issue. However, some parents supported the school’s decision, stating that sending food from home is a practical solution under these circumstances.

Meanwhile, local authorities are on alert regarding rumors and the actual situation concerning the gas shortage. Efforts are being made to maintain supply chains through meetings with gas agencies and relevant departments.

Currently, the school management remains hopeful that LPG supply will normalize soon, allowing lunch and snacks for students to resume as usual. Until then, parents are requested to assist in this matter.
