Piyush Goyal Launches CareEdge Globals New Report Analyzing Economies of 45 Countries in London

London, June 26: Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal launched the third edition of the report “Sovereign Ratings: A Fresh Perspective” by credit rating agency CareEdge Global at an event in London on Friday.

Goyal emphasized that research-based reports like this help in better understanding the economic conditions of countries and the changing global economic landscape. He noted the importance of open discussions regarding how rating agencies determine country ratings.

The new edition of the report provides a detailed analysis of the economies of 45 countries, which collectively account for nearly 85 percent of the world’s GDP. The report is based on five key criteria: economic structure, government financial position, strength of foreign transactions, monetary stability, and governance. It assesses the credit risks of countries with an eye on the future for both developed and emerging economies.

It aims to help investors and other stakeholders better navigate the continuously changing and uncertain global economic environment.

At the event, Mehul Pandya, Managing Director and Group CEO of CareEdge, stated, “The third edition of Sovereign Ratings reflects our transparent, in-depth research and forward-thinking approach to assessing country risks. We have placed special emphasis on critical development aspects such as capital investment, infrastructure development, and the robustness of domestic funding arrangements to provide a more balanced and accurate assessment of country risks. Our methodology is based on international standards while also considering the unique opportunities and challenges faced by emerging economies.”

Revati Kasture, CEO of CareEdge Global, remarked, “The 2026 edition demonstrates that CareEdge Global is rapidly establishing itself as a trusted global rating agency. We are building our identity through independent analysis, transparent processes, and a better understanding of the economies of emerging countries. This report also highlights significant global issues such as challenges in government financial reforms, external risks, structural reforms, and the economic resilience of various countries.”
