Shanghai, March 29: Philips has introduced a new premium gaming monitor in China, the Evnia 32M2N8900X. This model features a 31.5-inch QD-OLED panel with a stunning 3840 x 2160 resolution, supporting refresh rates of up to 240Hz through both HDMI and DisplayPort. It is designed for high-performance gaming and content creation.
The monitor boasts an impressive 0.03 ms response time and supports Adaptive-Sync, along with NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility to minimize screen tearing. It is rated for DisplayHDR True Black 500, with additional certification for DisplayHDR True Black 400, depending on the mode. The ClearMR 13000 rating indicates reduced motion blur during fast-paced scenes.
Brightness levels reach 300 nits in SDR at full screen, 515 nits in HDR at a 10 percent window, and peak at 1000 nits in HDR at a 3 percent window. The monitor supports true 10-bit color and offers a remarkable 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio. Color coverage includes full sRGB and up to 99.5 percent DCI-P3, with a Delta E below 2 in sRGB mode. The pixel density is rated at 139.87 PPI, featuring an RGB Q-Stripe subpixel layout with an anti-glare coating.
Philips combines QD-OLED technology with Quantum Dot enhancement for superior brightness and color output while ensuring deep blacks and wide viewing angles. An internal graphene layer enhances heat dissipation and maintains long-term color stability.
On the feature front, the monitor includes three-sided Ambiglow with AI-based lighting effects, a built-in KVM switch, and MultiView support for Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Picture-by-Picture (PbP). Gaming-centric tools such as Smart Crosshair, ShadowBoost, and low input lag modes are also available. Eye comfort features include LowBlue mode and flicker-free technology. Audio is provided by dual 5W speakers with DTS Sound.
Connectivity options are robust, featuring two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort, USB-C with up to 65W Power Delivery, USB-B upstream, two USB-A ports, and an additional USB-C downstream port with 15W output. Philips has yet to announce pricing or availability outside of China.
