New Delhi, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : Pappu Yadav, the Member of Parliament from Purnia, expressed his views on the recent Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) election results. He emphasized that Congress cannot be eradicated, stating that its ideology is rooted in global welfare and humanity.
Yadav remarked, “No one has swept the NSUI. As long as we are here, Congress cannot be sunk or destroyed. Its ideology is one of global welfare and humanity.” He criticized the notion that external forces could harm the party, suggesting that internal issues pose a greater threat. “It is the Congress members themselves who bring about their own downfall,” he added.
Targeting the BJP, Yadav noted that Congress’s struggles often stem from its own ranks. He highlighted that many party members fail to recognize Rahul Gandhi’s efforts and instead act out of personal interests and egos. “We do not work by observing Rahul Gandhi’s image and his struggles. Instead, we focus on our own selfish motives,” he stated.
Yadav pointed out that while Gandhi has consistently advocated for students, the party has faced challenges, including unfortunate incidents. He mentioned that the independent panel that won in the elections was also comprised of Congress members, indicating a complex internal dynamic.
He praised the Congress president for providing opportunities to children from tribal communities, stating that this contribution is significant regardless of electoral outcomes. “What our president, Rahul Gandhi, has done for tribal children is not a trivial matter. Winning or losing is not what matters; it is about the children not being defeated,” he explained.
Yadav revealed that during the counting process, the party was leading for 14 to 15 rounds. He concluded by expressing disappointment that those entrusted with significant responsibilities by Rahul Gandhi are betraying his dreams, hopes, and trust.
