Padma Shri Bharat Bhushan Tyagi Praises PM Modis Agricultural Reforms on His Birthday

Bulandshahr, September 17 (Daily Kiran) : On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, discussions are underway across the country regarding his 25 years in office. In Bulandshahr, Padma Shri awardee and progressive farmer Bharat Bhushan Tyagi highlighted the historic changes in agriculture during Modi’s tenure.

Tyagi expressed that significant transformations have occurred in farming under PM Modi’s leadership. He noted improvements in farmers’ incomes, cooperative-based technology development, and increased youth participation in agriculture.

He remarked, “Attention has been given to even the smallest issues in agriculture, directly benefiting farmers. The Green Revolution post-independence overlooked nature and farmers’ needs. However, under PM Modi, new options in agriculture are emerging daily. Farmers are becoming producers, integrating with technology, and stepping forward as energy providers.”

Tyagi emphasized that the ongoing efforts are yielding immediate relief for farmers while also promising long-term benefits. He shared his observations, stating, “In earlier agricultural meetings, issues like electricity shortages and sugarcane payments frequently arose. Now, these concerns are absent. Payments are made on time, and new opportunities are being created.”

He pointed out that substantial efforts are being made to provide immediate relief and long-term advantages to farmers. Addressing discussions around ethanol, he expressed concern over misinformation. “Some people are spreading misleading claims about ethanol. Utilizing ethanol as fuel can significantly benefit both farmers and the economy,” he asserted.

Tyagi noted that as long as farmers remain mere producers, they will continue to be exploited by the market, hindering agricultural growth. He acknowledged the advancements made under PM Modi’s leadership, including technological development, youth involvement, and the establishment of cooperative societies. Farmers are now being encouraged to transition from producers to business-minded individuals.

Emphasizing youth involvement, he remarked, “Post-COVID, many young people are turning to agriculture. There is a particular focus on natural farming, organic farming, and chemical-free practices. Continuous reflection is being done on what will form the basis of a sustainable economy.”

Tyagi described PM Modi’s governance as inspirational, praising the comprehensive efforts made for farmers and agriculture. He expressed gratitude for the international recognition of Indian agriculture achieved during Modi’s 25 years in power.

Concluding, he extended birthday wishes to PM Modi, expressing respect and admiration for his leadership. Tyagi acknowledged the significant announcement of establishing 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations, stating, “The country needs your leadership.”
