Outrage Among Saints Over Controversial Remarks by Swami Prasad Maurya

Lucknow, June 25: Saints and religious leaders have expressed their anger over controversial remarks made by former Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Swami Prasad Maurya regarding Lord Ram. They have also supported the demand for an FIR in the Ram Mandir donation controversy, as called for by the president of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

Dinesh Falhari, a petitioner in the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi case, spoke to a news agency, stating, “Swami Prasad Maurya has previously insulted our sacred text, the Ramayana. He has disrespected our deities. Now, he has insulted our Maryada Purushottam Ram. Such indecent remarks have never been made before. Swami Prasad has never spoken against Islam. There should be action under the National Security Act against such individuals. Those who insult Hindu deities have no right to live in this country.”

In response to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s demand for an FIR regarding the Ram Mandir donation issue, Mahant Deveshacharya Maharaj said, “The demand made by our national president Alok is commendable. I was reading and listening to his statement on Wednesday. It’s good that allegations are being made, but the truth must come out clearly. Only when an FIR is filed and a proper investigation is conducted will we know who is truly responsible.”

Swami Dilip Das Tyagi also welcomed the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s demand and expressed gratitude. He stated, “I wholeheartedly support anyone who makes this demand, and an FIR must be filed. How can an investigation proceed without an FIR? Once the FIR is registered, an investigation will take place, and all culprits will be caught. I urge that an FIR be filed, and the police should promptly investigate these robbers, dacoits, thieves, fraudsters, and scammers.”

Mahant Bhakt Charan Das Maharaj from Nashik reacted to the controversy surrounding the Ram Mandir donations and condemned the controversial comments made about Lord Ram. He stated that an investigation is ongoing and the truth will emerge. He emphasized, “Those guilty in the Ram Mandir donation theft case should be punished. The Ram Mandir is a center of faith for Hindus. Legal action by the government is essential to uncover the truth.”

Regarding Swami Prasad’s remarks, Mahant Bhakt Charan Das added, “Speaking ill of Lord Ram is an insult to the entire Hindu community. While action is being taken regarding what happened at the Ram Mandir, Swami Prasad has hurt the sentiments of Ram devotees with his derogatory comments. He should think carefully before making any statements. Legal action should also be taken against Swami Prasad.”
