Opposition Leaders Excluded from BRICS Meeting, Claims SP MP Avadhesh Prasad

Ayodhya, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : Avadhesh Prasad, a member of the Samajwadi Party (SP), has sharply criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for not inviting chief ministers from opposition-led states to the recent BRICS meeting. He described this exclusion as a sign of the BJP’s “anti-democratic mindset,” arguing that such actions undermine the very roots of democracy.

Speaking to a news agency, Prasad pointed out that states where the BJP is not in power were overlooked for the BRICS program. He emphasized that all states and political parties deserve respect within a democratic framework. The absence of opposition chief ministers raises questions about the central government’s intentions, he added.

On the controversy surrounding donations to the Ram Temple trust in Ayodhya, Prasad referenced comments made by the trust’s treasurer. He highlighted the treasurer’s role as crucial, given that the trust handles significant amounts of donations, including gold, silver, cash, and land. Prasad expressed concern over the treasurer’s claim of not signing any documents or visiting the relevant site, calling it a serious and irresponsible situation. He also raised issues regarding promotions within the trust.

Responding to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s post about the BRICS dinner menu, Prasad noted that India is a diverse nation with various culinary traditions. He stated that all types of cuisine should be respected, along with the preservation of the country’s traditions and beliefs.

Regarding the SP’s election manifesto, Prasad described it as more than just an electoral document; he referred to it as a “sacred document.” He asserted that upon coming to power, the party strives to fully implement the promises made in the manifesto.

Prasad suggested that the upcoming election manifesto for Uttar Pradesh should incorporate development plans based on the local needs of each district. He believes that comprehensive development in the state is only possible by addressing the specific requirements of its districts.
