
New Delhi, July 2: The Delhi Police‘s South West District has successfully reunited 193 missing individuals with their families under ‘Operation Milap’ from June 1 to June 30. This group includes 48 children and 145 missing adults.
Police officials reported that local inquiries, along with the examination of CCTV footage, played a crucial role in these efforts. They displayed photos of missing and abducted individuals at auto stands, e-rickshaw stands, bus terminals, and railway stations. Additionally, bus drivers, conductors, and vendors were questioned to trace the movements of these individuals. Local informants also assisted during the search operations, and records from nearby police stations and hospitals were meticulously reviewed.
According to the Delhi Police, teams from the South West District successfully located 193 missing persons and children during June. The Vasant Vihar police station identified 10 missing individuals (four men and six women) and successfully reunited them with their families. The RK Puram police team found two minors aged between 1 and 18 years, along with three missing persons (one man and two women).
Similarly, six women from the South Campus area, two girls from Vasant Kunj North, and four missing adults were located. The South Vasant Kunj area saw the recovery of six minors and nine missing adults, while seven minors and ten missing adults were found in the Kapashera area. The Palam Village area reported six minors and eleven missing adults, and fifteen missing adults were located in Sagarpur. The Delhi Cantt area had seven missing adults, while the Sarojini Nagar area saw the recovery of two minors and two missing individuals.
The SJ Enclave police team recovered six missing adults (four men and two women), while the Kishangarh police found five minors and five missing adults. The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of the South West District played a significant role by locating 18 minors, all of whom were safely reunited with their families.
The District Missing Persons Unit of the South West District also identified 57 missing adults (18 men and 39 women), all of whom have been safely returned to their families.
Authorities noted that during the operation from June 1 to June 30, several missing individuals and abducted children were located, whose cases had been filed in previous years.
Furthermore, in the first six months of 2026 (from January 1 to June 30), the district police successfully found a total of 866 missing persons, including 226 minors and 640 adults.
