
Bhubaneswar, March 31: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a crucial meeting with district collectors on Monday to review the status of the supply chain for essential goods in the state. The meeting was conducted via video conferencing from the Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister discussed the availability of essential goods, distribution systems, and monitoring mechanisms across the state. He instructed officials to ensure a seamless supply of necessary items to the public, emphasizing that there should be no shortages or disruptions at any level. Majhi particularly stressed the importance of maintaining better coordination at the district level, urging all relevant departments to remain vigilant and regularly review the situation. He also directed that proactive measures be taken to prevent any potential disruptions in the supply chain.
In a message shared on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister stated, “Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is facing global challenges with clarity and confidence. In this spirit, I held an important review meeting with district collectors today to assess the potential impacts of the war situation in West Asia and successful measures to address it. Our priority in this delicate situation is to protect the state’s economy and the daily lives of its citizens.”
He mentioned that all district administrations have been instructed to remain alert, particularly to ensure that there are no disruptions in the transportation and supply chain of goods. He made it clear that strict legal action should be taken against black marketers and hoarders who create artificial shortages in the market. Continuous monitoring of the availability and supply of fertilizers was also emphasized to prevent any disruptions in the agricultural production sector.
He further added, “The state government is committed to providing accurate information to every citizen and ensuring a seamless supply of essential items. We are fully alert to the challenges faced by our border and coastal districts. Given the current situation, I urge all citizens to stay vigilant, maintain patience, and avoid hoarding unnecessarily. Stay away from rumors and rely only on credible information. With everyone’s cooperation, we can safeguard the interests of the people of the state and face this situation with strength. Let us all commit to solving all problems with the spirit of ‘Team Odisha.’”
