
New Delhi, March 31: On the occasion of Rajasthan Day, Kapil Mishra, the Minister of Art, Culture, Language, Tourism, and Labor, extended greetings on behalf of the Delhi government to the people of the country and the state.
A cultural program was also organized at the Delhi Secretariat, showcasing Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage.
According to an official statement, the event was conducted by the Department of Art, Culture, and Language through the Literary Arts Council. Mishra highlighted that Rajasthan is globally renowned for its tales of valor, cultural grandeur, and vibrant traditions.
He also emphasized the significant contributions made by the people of Rajasthan living in Delhi towards the development of the capital.
The minister stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi government is organizing the state foundation day celebrations in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat.’ These initiatives reflect a collective spirit aimed at strengthening national unity and achieving the goal of a developed Delhi.
Mishra noted that such events play a crucial role in showcasing India’s diverse cultural heritage and in passing it on to the younger generation.
The program featured traditional music and dance performances that highlighted Rajasthan’s folk culture. Approximately 25 artists participated, delivering captivating presentations of Kalbeliya, Ghoomar, and Bhawai, which mesmerized the audience.
Mishra emphasized that such events are significant steps towards promoting cultural harmony in the capital.
Earlier in the day, Kapil Mishra attended a special screening of the film ‘Dhurandhar – The Revenge’ (Dhurandhar-2) under the Delhi International Film Festival (DIFF), engaging with citizens and media representatives.
He remarked that every soldier serving and defending the nation is a true hero of India, and their contributions will always be paramount. Films like Uri, Sher Shah, and Dhurandhar highlight the dedication and sacrifice of the armed forces. Such films strengthen patriotism and inspire the youth.
The minister added that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, ‘New India’ is rapidly progressing towards self-reliance in the security sector, continuously enhancing defense capabilities.
