Jaipur, 25 August (Kiran News). Residents of Rajasthan can now access 37 important RTO services, including driving licence issuance and vehicle registration certificate (RC) renewal, online from the comfort of their homes. There is no longer any need to visit the RTO office or pay commissions to agents. Services like vehicle NOC will be free, and a driving licence can be obtained for just ₹200. For other services, only the official fees must be paid.

The Transport Department has launched an online platform similar to those in other departments. All services can be accessed via smartphone, computer, laptop, or by visiting an e-Mitra center. This initiative was first launched at the Jaipur RTO office, where it received a positive response. It will soon be implemented across the entire state.
What Are the New Online Services and How Much Do They Cost?
A total of 37 services offered by the RTO office in Jhalana, Jaipur, are now available online. According to RTO First Officer Rajendra Singh Shekhawat, these include vehicle transfer, NOC, duplicate RC, registration renewal, address change, RC cancellation, permit application (special, temporary, duplicate, and renewal), and tax clearance certificates. Users can print their certificates and pay any taxes online.
The process of removing a bank or finance company’s name from the RC (hypothecation termination) or adding a finance company’s name (hypothecation addition) has also gone online.
22 Services Still Require a Visit to RTO Office
There are still 22 services, such as vehicle modification and fitness certificate issuance, that require the physical presence of the vehicle at the RTO office. For updating a mobile number without Aadhaar authentication, visiting the RTO office is also necessary.
