However, this reliance can sometimes lead them into fraudulent traps, impacting their entire lives. Director Ram Chakri aims to address this serious issue through his upcoming film, ‘Karmeni Selvam.’
At a recent event, Ram Chakri openly discussed his film. He stated, “People often find themselves in situations where they must abandon their passions to repay debts. When someone is forced to work against their dreams, they are essentially mortgaging their aspirations. My film will compel viewers to consider how crucial financial decisions are.”
He expressed a heartfelt desire for those living under financial pressure to break free from their circumstances and lead fulfilling lives. The film aims to inspire audiences to make better choices in their lives, reflecting the realities of contemporary society.
During the event, the director also explained the reason behind his name change. “I made my first film, ‘Khurai Onnum Ila,’ under the name Karthik Ravi, but there are many individuals with that name in the industry. To establish a unique identity, I changed my name to Ram Chakri. This change was essential for my career.”
The film features prominent roles played by Samuthirakani and Gautam Vasudev Menon, with Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli also taking on a significant character. Pathway Production is behind the film’s production.
The teaser for the film has already been released, receiving a positive response from audiences. It portrays societal perceptions that often equate success with wealth. Viewers are eagerly awaiting the film’s release.
