
New Delhi, September 1: In an exhilarating match of the Women’s Delhi Premier League 2026, the North Delhi Strikers triumphed over the South Delhi Superstars by just 2 runs on Tuesday. The two teams are set to clash again in the final match on Wednesday.
Batting first, the North Delhi Strikers recovered from early setbacks to score 126 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Opener Najma was dismissed for just 2 runs, and Shivi Sharma followed shortly after, scoring only 3 runs, leaving the team under pressure at 12/2. Captain Ayushi Soni played a crucial innings, remaining unbeaten with 62 runs off 55 balls, supported by seven boundaries. Archana contributed significantly with 21 runs off 14 balls, while Samaira Raghav added 32 runs from 26 balls, including two fours and a six.
For the South Delhi Superstars, Rupali Vishw Mohan took 2 wickets for 23 runs. Additionally, Mayuri Singh, Tanisha Singh, and Ekta Bhardana each claimed one wicket.
Defending a modest total of 126/5, the North Delhi Strikers showcased disciplined bowling, managing to restrict the South Delhi Superstars to 124/7 in a tense final over.
