Noida Police Arrests Wanted Gangster Linked to Vehicle Theft Ring

Noida, July 18: The Gautam Buddha Nagar police achieved a significant breakthrough in a long-standing case under the Gangster Act. Officers from the Sector-58 police station apprehended a wanted gangster who had been on the run for nearly three years.

According to police reports, the arrested individual is an active member of a vehicle theft gang. He faces multiple serious charges, including attempted murder, theft, fraud, forgery, and violations of the Arms Act. On July 17, the Sector-58 police launched a special operation based on manual intelligence and confidential information. During this operation, they arrested Insaf, son of Khursheed, near the tempo stand at Surajpur Ganta Chowk.

The police state that Insaf had evaded capture for approximately three years, frequently changing his location to avoid arrest. He has been identified as a 27-year-old resident of Ladalaka village in Juhra, Dhing district, Rajasthan. Investigations revealed that he is a key member of an organized vehicle theft gang that stole vehicles from various locations and then disposed of them.

Police records indicate that Insaf has an extensive criminal history, with multiple cases registered against him at the Phase-1 police station in Gautam Buddha Nagar. These include serious charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, such as theft, attempted murder, fraud, forgery, document falsification, criminal conspiracy, and illegal possession of weapons. Additionally, in 2023, he was charged under sections 2/3 of the Gangster Act.

The police noted that the cases against him include several vehicle theft incidents from 2022 and 2023. Furthermore, he has faced charges under sections 307, 398, 401, 420, 467, 468, 471, 482 of the IPC, as well as violations of the Arms Act. Insaf had been evading law enforcement for a considerable time, prompting ongoing efforts to locate him.

The Sector-58 police believe that Insaf’s arrest may yield crucial information regarding the activities of the vehicle theft gang. They are currently interrogating him to gather intelligence on his accomplices, the network of stolen vehicles, and other operational aspects of the gang.
