Chinas Box Office Revenue Surpasses 20 Billion Yuan in 2026

Beijing, July 19: According to data from online platforms, China’s total box office revenue for 2026 has exceeded 20 billion yuan, including pre-sales. The films “Pegasus 3,” “Dear You,” and “Blades of the Guardians” are currently among the top three at the box office.

The summer film season continues to be a hit, featuring a variety of genres that cater to audience preferences. So far, the total box office collection for the summer season in 2026 has surpassed 4.2 billion yuan. “Kung Fu Soccer” has earned over 1.3 billion yuan, while “All Wishes Come True” has already crossed the 200 million yuan mark.

Since the summer film season began on June 1, more than 110 Chinese and foreign films have been released. These films cover a range of genres, including revolutionary history, heartwarming stories, thrilling crime, action thrillers, comedies, and animations, meeting the diverse needs of viewers.
